Happy Anniversary, Zeeshan

Zeeshan and I have been together for a year now (4/20). The happiest year of my life so far :)

Skydiving

I went skydiving with Dimitri, my officemate, on Saturday morning. We left for Byron at 6:45am, jumped out of a plane, and got back to San Francisco by 11:30am. We jumped from 13,000 feet up. My video is posted on Facebook: My Skydiving Experience

Egging a car

I mean.. who does that sh*t besides high school students?! This morning, my dad called me at 7am on the dot to tell me that my car got egged. He cleaned off most of it, but I had to roll out of bed to scrub the rest of the dried egg off the car.

126 points!

My department went bowling to celebrate the upcoming holidays. I scored 126 points in one game for the first time ever! As proud and happy as I am, I regret bowling four games. My back, neck, and left arm are starting to feel crappy.

Oh how I love productive weekends!

This weekend was great. Friday night, I went to the PacPad Gala in San Francisco. I did have somewhat of a clothing disaster at the beginning of the night, but Pooja saved my style! I saw all my Apple friends who I hadn't seen in months. Saturday was Khushiali. I dropped Shivani home, quickly cleaned the house, took my grandma to the Indian groceries store, and got a relaxing pedicure. At night, I put on a beautiful green Indian outfit, saw all my family at Jamat Khana, and ate dinner with Nadeem. The night ended with me falling asleep on the sofa while watching a movie. Perfect way to end a day, in my opinion. On Sunday, Jonathan, Kathy, Zeeshan and I went to the California Academy of Sciences in SF. We spent $26/person, but found it well worth it! An albino alligator, poisonous frogs, an anaconda, a 4-story rainforest, and an amazing planetarium were the exciting exhibits the museum offered. After that, I picked up my parents from the airport (they were in Paris), and watched countless hours of Indian TV while working here and there for work. Now, I'm in bed, enjoying the heat emitted from my $20 spaceheater!

Ice Skating

There's something about outdoor ice skating that quickly excites me about the winter holidays. The festive crowd and smell of hot chocolate brings warmth to the chilly, crisp air. Every year, as we approach November, I check both the Downtown San Jose Ice and Embarcadero Center calendar websites to see when the rinks become open to the public. That's exactly what I did this year, and ice skating is exactly what I did at the Embarcadero Center in San Francisco on Saturday night.

On Saturday, ten years later, I finally learned how to ice skate backwards. In the past, a few friends of mine had given me tips on how to skate backwards, but I was always quick to give up for fear that I would fall. Yet, this Saturday, I was relaxed - I had no fear of falling. I think it's because Zeeshan was in front of me, making sure to catch me every time I appeared close to falling. With a few trial and errors on forming an hour glass with my skates, it finally clicked.
